Today, we left Pasco, Washington - still heading for Glacier National Park.  Unfortunately, we only made it to Polson Montana because we lost an hour and the single lane road didn't help any either.  Eastern Washington is very barren, alot of wheat and corn but you don't see many farm houses or towns.

We went through Spokane, Washington

Then on to Idaho.  Before we went through the southwestern corner of Idaho.  This time we went through the some northern part of Idaho

We went through Coeur D'Alene, the largest city in northern Idaho.  It takes its name from the local tribe of Native Americans.  French trappers dubbed them Coeur D'Alene meaning "heart of the awl" meaning the indians were shrewd traders.  The Spokane River drains into the Coeur D'Alene Lake.

We went through Idaho Panhandle National Forest

Oops - we're 4 days late !!!

Then to Montana

St. Regis - the town and the river

Clark Fork River

I looked but I didn't see any!!!

These are views from the motorhome in Polson Flathead Lake KOA.

We're only an hour and a half from Glacier National Park which we do tomorrow.  Current temperature here is 59!!!  Good Night  and thanks again Richard and Anne - if it weren't for you we would have missed this.  Also thanks again for all of you hospitality.
